Children & Youth

What to expect for Children & Youth

The mission of Ripley FUMC Children is to reach children and youth through fun, fellowship, and evangelism, connecting them to Christ so they will grow in their faith. Guiding them to discover their spiritual gifts and fall in love with God.

Our hope is that you will find Ripley FUMC as the place where your child or youth can grow as a follower of Christ, be loved as a part of this community, and find a place where they can serve others. Opportunities to connect and serve are numerous.

Children's Activities

Children’s Sunday School
Sundays, 9:45am-10:45am
Children’s ministry curriculum is designed for preschool through 5th grade to help children make wiser choices, build stronger relationships, and develop a deeper faith in Christ.

Children Activities (during the school year)
Wednesdays, 5:00pm – 6:30pm
Children meet at the “Activities Building” next to the church. They have a lesson that helps the children to learn about wisdom, faith, and friendship. Once a month, the children travel to the “Prayer Chapel” across from the “Activities Building” to pray. They usually have fellowship time with games and fun following their lesson. The children join the youth group for supper at 6:00.

Youth Activites

Wednesdays, 6:00pm – 7:30pm
We offer opportunities for ministry for our students from 6th grade - 12th grade. The youth join the children at 6:00 for supper at the “Activities Building”. At 6:30, they continue with a lesson about wisdom, faith, and friendship and getting closer to God. After their lesson, they fellowship with games and fun.

Sundays, (The last Sunday of each month.)
We plan different activities on each of these Sundays. We have “Sonday Night Live” in our community, which is a worship service for the community with music, food, fellowship, and fun including corn hole games and more. Sometimes we travel to see movies or to do special activities, such as the corn maze in the fall.

Missions (yearly)
Our youth group takes a mission trip each year. Sometimes we don’t travel but host a local “Hometown Mission”. The out of town trips vary as to where we go and are usually during the month of June.
